On March 16, 2005, Ziggy had his hip replaced by Doctor Todd Swanson of Desert Orthopedics in Las Vegas. The procedure lasted less than an hour and a half and Ziggy was walking less than 18 hours after surgery. The only complication about the surgery was that he had difficulty urinating the first day, but that had nothing to do with the surgery, but rather trying to urinate in a seated position with the legs extended, not to mention getting your willie in that silly bottle.

Recovery was very rapid and Ziggy was back to work in less than seven weeks. Now Ziggy is back in the gym pressing 220 pounds on the hack squats and walking up to seven miles a day.
